Almond Butter Pad Thai Sauce

This sauce is the fricken bomb! We always have it on hand to make a stir-fry, dress a salad, or make a noodle bowl. You have to give it a try!

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup nut butter (I like almond or peanut butter here)

  • juice of 1 lime (about 2 tbsp)

  • 3 tbsp coconut aminos/tamari

  • 1 tbsp maple syrup

  • 1 tsp sesame oil

  • 1 tbsp grated ginger

  • 1 minced garlic

  • red pepper flakes

Instructions: Add all the ingredients to a mason jar and shake or mix to combine. Next, add water to thin out the sauce to your desired consistency. It’s important to know that the sauce will thicken over time when added to whatever recipe you are making!

Tofu: If you want to make this sauce with some tofu (which I recommend), try baking the tofu in cubes at 350°F in the oven, tossed in turmeric, ginger and coconut aminos/tamari!

For this recipe, I made a pad Thai/noodle thing of sorts with broccoli, peppers and buckwheat noodles, but the options are endless!
